Wiltshire Digital Drive is a non-profit organisation working to tackle digital exclusion in our county, while addressing the UK’s growing e-waste problem.
By refurbishing second hand tech, they connect devices to people most in need in our communities and extend the life cycle of each device they receive.
From young people to the elderly, many people are being left behind in education, employment and health due to the lack of access to a laptop, tablet or phone.
Since October 2020, Wiltshire Digital Drive has redistributed over 3,600 devices to the most vulnerable. Many of these devices have been donated by the local business community, providing them with an opportunity to achieve their ESG goals.
Wiltshire Digital Drive wipes all data to government standards before re-issuing and is able to report back on the impact these devices are having through careful monitoring and impact measurement.
If you have tech you can donate, or are looking for a grass roots organisation to support financially this year, please visit www.wiltshiredigitaldrive.org or email info@wiltshiredigitaldrive.org
