Business Fit For Future

Business Fit For the Future programme by Wiltshire Council promotes business growth through business start-up support, net-zero adaptations, and growth opportunities whilst supporting our rural communities with new rural hubs.

The programmes listed below are financed by Wiltshire Council and the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), and are being implemented by Severn Wye, BIC Innovation and Swindon and Wiltshire Growth Hub.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a component of the UK Government's Levelling Up agenda, providing £2.6 billion for local investment by March 2025. This fund aims to enhance community pride and improve life opportunities across the UK by investing in communities and places, supporting local businesses, and developing people and skills. Fit for Growth

The Wiltshire Fit For Growth Programme, led by BIC Innovation, aims to foster business growth in Wiltshire by supporting companies in various sectors including manufacturing, logistics, agritech, and life sciences.

The programme offers one-on-one specialist support, collaborative learning cohorts, unique events, webinars, and guidance on accessing grants. It focuses on unlocking innovation, strategic planning, and embedding a growth culture to ensure sustainable business development. Operational support is already available, with events and cohorts starting later in the year to maximise community impact and business growth.

Fit for Startup

The Fit For Start Up support programme offers tailored workshops and coaching for aspiring and new business owners. It includes a workshops and resources for exploring business ideas, Business Advice for launch, or seeking funding.

Additionally, there is grant assistance available to support new businesses. The programme is funded by Wiltshire Council through the UKSPF, delivered in collaboration with Swindon and Wiltshire Growth Hub.

Fit for Net Zero

 

If you want to understand your business’ carbon emissions and how to manage them, Fit For Net Zero can help. 

Through Wiltshire Council’s Fit for Net Zero programme Severn Wye is currently offering SMEs in Wiltshire free energy efficiency surveys to help you decarbonise your business and save money on your energy bills.

Wiltshire Marque

 

The Wiltshire Marque shines a spotlight on food and drink that really celebrates Wiltshire, showing our local community, and beyond the fantastic produce grown, bred, fished, brewed and baked in the county.

We're helping Wiltshire's food and drink businesses by providing vital support to help them flourish, creating new routes to market with coverage in a free online directory, free promotion of news and events, and access to Wiltshire Council's wider business support programme.
